Amy Winehouse

Well, it's no secret that a beloved artist passed away last Saturday. Amy Winehouse was only 27, inducting her into the club among legends such as Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and so forth. The soulful singer was admired worldwide, and her unique voice captured the ears of many. Unfortunately, she struggled with drug and alcohol abuse as made recognized by her single Rehab. But, no matter how you view it, her death was tragic.

 Winehouse released two albums: Frank and Back to Black. The former went on to sell platinum.

Now, let's just admire the woman for a moment. She had tattoos galore. Many of which were of "old school" naked women. Her hair and makeup was anything but ordinary. Let's face it, she was herself. Of course, the media shaped her into something I'm sure she never wanted to be, but that's a whole other issue.

Rest in peace, Ms. Winehouse.
