The Black Keys

Going back to school is a drag. Fortunately, there are some awesome bands to keep us sane during our stressful times. One of the best bands, I find, that keep me balanced, is the Black Keys. With their rising popularity, The Black Keys have become quite the success (and lifesaver). 

The Keys have been around since 2001, but have only recently begun to become more mainstream. Their most recent album Brothers sold over 73,000 copies in its first week, giving it a #3 ranking on the Billboard Albums chart, their highest yet. That's a pretty amazing accomplishment. They were nominated for four Grammy Awards and received two of them. Rolling Stone magazine placed Brothers at #2 on the Best Albums of 2010 and "Everlasting Light" at #11 on the Best Singles of 2010. This band has had so much success in 2010, it's ridiculous.

Also, the boys played at Coachella. I was lucky enough to see them play there, and, although Dan was a bit drunk, they still rocked the house.

And and and! A seventh album is rumored to come out this year. There's not a doubt in my mind it won't be as successful, if not more, as Brothers.
